Regional champion in the half marathon

the Wolfgangsee I had this week longer than I liked (and thought I had) in my legs, I even played with the idea of the half marathon in Branzoll deleted. The last two days before the race I had a rest but still good, but went with mixed feelings in the competition. For me it was all about, to understand whether it was time to end the season or as planned to run a marathon.
The competitors today were the big favorite Yuri Floriani (Italy 4 times champion in the 3000m steeplechase), Gianluca Pasetto and Hermann Achmüller. Somewhat surprisingly, I could settle down with Pasetto same at the start, I felt good, and did a controlled tempo run. At km 9, we had a good 30 seconds ahead of Floriani, but which began to increase the pace, and at km 14, 15 unlocked. 5 minutes went by and I Pasetto Floriani with, then we could break off, we had the fight for 2nd place

Mountain Run Tirol-Hochmuth - Marathon Start

midst of preparations for the upcoming road races, I built one last run, a mountain this year, especially since the race virtually the pride is taking place outside my front door.
felt in the first stint I was fresh when it came to cross the Tyrol in technical sections, I was a little surprised at how my legs felt weak in the steeper sections. Whatever the case, I had to Harald Gamper, who picked up the win with a strong performance can draw. I am pleased to Harald that after lengthy injury problems is back.
apart from today's mountain skiing trip, I can report that I will try another marathon in 2010 actually. The first three weeks of preparation I have satisfactorily completed an important location-determination, the Wolfgangsee 17 be October, then mid-November before the going gets tough.

I rolled in the group with Tarcis Ançay and Martin Cox and started me in a flat passage at km 11 to finally feel good (after I was on the first stop on the often km), but the fast downhill section between miles 11 and 12.5 should turn the tide: Suddenly, my muscles were hardened, and counter-rise, which was lined on both sides of crowds, I had to let my group. Although I am not quite satisfied with the outcome, the race was a great experience for me-I was impressed by the many spectators, the last 6 km of the route lined.
