Harakiri Run
The Run Harakiri in Mayrhofen / Zillertal, Station 2 of the WMRA Grand Prix 2010 - a World Cup race So, for me an opportunity to measure myself against the best in the world.
the basis of the start list I saw four athletes to be absolutely unbeatable at (Arslan, Wyatt, Schneider, Kosgei), another four (Krupicka, Chebusit, Wangari, Maiyo) as almost unbeatable. So it was a place to 8th place, to think of 9, I should all the other runners as the best Austrians (which incidentally, ran a kind of World Cup qualification) under control.
When the 2-mile flat first and the last wave were subtracted to overcome just about 6.5 km altitude of 1200 meters.
Prior to the actual start then neutralized lap to run, when the pace was set by a pilot vehicle. When Arriving earlier, my legs had felt something hard-the euphoria after the victory at the Karwendel mountain run me was probably tempted to train a bit too intense. For the tactic in any case, this meant the race to target very carefully.
was the end of the neutralized round so I am in a bad position, as was the go-ahead, I was on about the 25th Place. Nevertheless, I remained calm and made good on the first two kilometers of flat only a few places. With such a steep flat race six minutes of the race start to play no role. The first steep section then (about 300 hm 1.5 km), which led the way in switchbacks through the forest, I tried to control to-operate only after several minutes I began to climb slowly catching up: including Martin Mausser, Orlando Edwards, Mark Kröll and the Kenyan Wangari. In the flatter middle section with asphalt surface, I overtook the Sweden Kleist and Roman Skalsky, ten seconds I had before me the inserted an assault Krupicka, and another 10 against the Kenyans and Maiyo Chebusit. The first four Arslan, Wyatt, Kosgei and Schneider were already far away.
After 30 minutes of the race began the final climb, I knew immediately that it would pull Krupicka. I still felt fresh and was sure to catch the two in front of me running Kenyans. Just before I opened it at minute 45 Maiyo, had Chebusit deposed-I overtook Maiyo and stalked me again approached Chebusit. At the end of the ascent, 800 m from the finish, I went in and was able to break away from Chebusit-on the last half km, which ran on a narrow trail and downhill leader, I was a little uncertain on the road, promptly passed me the Kenyans back for I was rank 7
After the Zermatt marathon contest three races I have a very good level for your next event now I push a training development phase.
